Hoop Drum Making Workshop
Ever wanted to make your own drum? Here is your chance!
Richard Littlefeather has been running workshops for 20 years sharing
culture, handcrafts, and teaching Personal Awareness. His teachings are
based on the tenet of respect and awareness of the natural world around
us.
In an all materials supplied
two and a half day Sacred Hoop Drum Making Workshop, Richard will share the art of making your own sacred
Hoop Drum. Not only will you enjoy the creating of your drum, the tone and rhythm playing it, but you will also be taken on a journey of self discovery - the discovery of your spiritual connection with the drum.
The workshop will commence with ceremony and introduction,
followed by a day of making your drum, an evening drum circle with
drumming, singing and dancing, and be completed with final touches and
naming ceremony on the last day.
As this is a hands-on workshop, the participant numbers are kept small to ensure individual attention.

Powerful Full Moon Drumming Circle at "Kupidabin Wilderness", a place of Peace and Harmony at the Lyell Deer Farm in Mt Samson.
"Kupidabin"
is protected by the State Government Environmental Protection Act and
blessed by Aboriginal Elder Tex Chapman to hold multicultural
gatherings, bringing people together and breaking down cultural
barriers.
The Full Moon Drumming Circle is bound to lift your energies, connect you with spirit and like minded people.
Participate with your own Hoop Drum or just enjoy the rhythms and high vibrations.
Bring a plate of food to share. Contribution is $10.00 per adult, children under 12yrs are free of charge.

Join in Prayer for Peace
around the World, attending a special ceremony at The Peace Haven at
Kupidabin Wilderness, 6 Lyell Court, Mt Samson on 21 September 2011 from 1.30pm.
In 2001, the
United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution declaring
September 21st of each year as the International Day of Peace and to be
observed as a day of global ceasefire and non-violence, inviting non
governmental organisations and individuals to commemorate in an
appropriate manner.
A Peace Pole is an internationally recognised symbol of Hopes and
Dreams of the entire human family. It is an eight sided pillar with
“May Peace Prevail on Earth“ in different languages on the plaques.
There are more than 250,000 Peace Poles in 180 countries, proudly
standing in silent vigil for world peace.
The Peace Pole at Kupidabin holds 24 plaques, of which 20 have been
engraved in native languages such as English, Aboriginal, Maori,
Japanese, Finnish, Gaelic, Druid, Runes, Greek, French, Guarani,
Tuscarora, Urdu, Chinese, Russian, Tsalgio, Spanish, Iroquois Nation,
German and Lakota / Sioux Nation.
Experience a Traditional Blessing as part of the opening ceremony,
which
will be followed by Cultural Music and the lighting of the Peace Fire.
It is followed by a social afternoon tea - please bring a plate to
